Durham Public Schools Advanced Academics- This resource is our very own Durham Public Schools webpage for Advanced Academics. Here you will find information about the latest Board of Education update regarding AIG, as well as, the goals, responsibilities, and beliefs of the DPS Advanced Academics department.
North Carolina Academically or Intellectually Gifted Programs- NCDPI has created a Wiki page for Academically and/or Intellectually Gifted Programs in the state of North Carolina. This resource is full of information about program standards, articles, legislations, etc. This is a great resource for anyone wanting to know more information about AIG in North Carolina.
National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC)- The NAGC is a one-stop-shop resource for gifted children. Together staff and leaders support and develop policies and practices that encourage and respond to the diverse expressions of gifts and talents in children and youth from all cultures, racial and ethnic backgrounds, and socioeconomic groups.
Davidson Institute for Talent Development- The Davidson Institute for Talent Development (DITP) is a resource where various advocacy strategies can be found. "We are a national nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting profoundly gifted students 18 and under." DITP has created a guidebook to assist parent advocates and teachers who are advocating for the gifted.
American Psychological Association- This resources provides information regarding testing and assessments that are used to identify gifted and talented students.
Hoagies Gifted Education- This resource provides researchers information of all kinds. The website is designed to provide an "All Things Gifted" resource for parents, teachers, administrators, mental health professionals, and gifted kids and adults. This is a website where anyone can find answers to any questions they may have about gifted and talented students.
